On Long Bien Bridge, Hanoi

This bridge completed in 1902 designed by Gustave Eiffel for the firm of Dayde & Pille Cie was the first to cross the Red river and played an important role in the cretaion of modern Vietnam. It was also the traget of US bombing during the American War and todayit is a patchwork of old and new sections.
